Jefferson Street Art Crawl

On Jefferson Street in Districts 19 and 21

Artist Joseph Bazelais was awarded $4,000 to facilitate the Jefferson Street Art Crawl. The Jefferson Street Art Crawl is an event that happens on the fourth Saturday of every month on the Arts Corridor of Jefferson Street. The community engages in an evening of art making where the North Nashville community and surrounding communities are invited to tour the exhibitions on Jefferson Street, the art corridor of North Nashville. Youth participate in art creation workshops designed to give them a voice to speak, learn technique and enjoy visual art creation with some of the premier Nashville artists while their parents enjoy the art crawl. There will be an opportunity for crawl attendees to work with a skilled artist and create community canvases that tell the story of the community and reflect the beauty that many hope to preserve as it goes through inevitable changes.
