Neighborhood Conservation Zoning District
Whitland Avenue is a Neighborhood Conservation Zoning Overlay district. Any new construction including additions, demolitions, or relocation of structures is reviewed by the MHZC prior to beginning the project.
Whitland Avenue became a Neighborhood Conservation Zoning Overlay district in Spring 2009. The houses in this district were built primarily from the early 1910s to the mid-1940s. Architectural styles include Colonial Revival, Neoclassical, Bungalow, Tudor Revival, English Cottage, American Foursquare and Prairie. The area contains approximately 54 properties.
