Pension Services

Pension benefits for employees of Metro Nashville and Davidson County are available as defined by Title 3 of the Metro Charter. There are several different pension options available, including survivor benefits and DROP benefits for those employees who qualify.

Service pension calculations are automatically provided annually to each of our employees, and an online pension calculator has been provided on this site for those who wish to plan for several retirement scenarios. Our Benefits Representatives are also available to provide estimates, additional information, and to answer any questions and clarify any concerns retirees and prospective retirees may have.

Retiree Insurance Benefits

During the retirement process, you will be given the option to elect or continue your medical, dental, and vision insurance.

MetroMax 457 Plan

Employees under the Metro Nashville & Davidson County Benefits system are also eligible to participate in our deferred compensation plan, established under IRS Code Section 457.
