Metro's Employee Assistance / Work Life Program is here to help. The Employee Assistance (EAP) / Work Life Program provides free and confidential assessments, short-term counseling, referrals, prevention, and education services for you and your dependents through Deer Oaks EAP Services.

How Can EAP Help?

A trained master's level counselor is available 24/7 365 days of the year to help you and your dependents cope with life's stressors so that you can live a happy, productive life. With EAP, you and your dependents will receive up to 12 sessions per incident per year with a master's level clinician.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who may use EAP? All employees of Metro Government and members of their household are eligible to use EAP services. Often, when one family member is experiencing a difficulty, it affects other family members, as well.

Is there a fee? No. EAP services are free of charge. With EAP, you and your dependents will receive up to 12 visits per issue per year.

What about confidentiality? Confidentiality is truly the hallmark of this service. All services are confidential.

Does using EAP affect my job? No. Your department will not be notified if you choose to make contact with the EAP. If your job performance is significantly affected or negatively impacted by a personal challenge or crisis, your supervisor may recommend the EAP. As always, the goal is to improve your personal well-being and work performance.
