National Night Out Against Crime 2017

Register your neighborhood or community event for the 2017 National Night Out Against Crime. This unique crime/drug prevention effort sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 1, 2017. In past years, over 37 million people participated in the National Night Out Against Crime to raise awareness about crime and to build relationships with local law enforcement. Nashville neighborhood groups and community organizations are encouraged to plan Night Out Against Crime events for members and local residents. NATW provides an online toolkit with resources on how to plan a successful event.

National Night Out Against Crime is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs;
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
