Opportunity NOW Youth Information

This video demonstrates the experience youth will have when utilizing the Opportunity NOW portal, and showcases the many benefits the portal provides. We recommend watching the video prior to joining online to get a better understanding of how to register, and the functionality within the portal. Work Now: 15-24 years old - Available Year Round

Businesses and organizations in Nashville are looking for entry level workers year round and you could be the perfect fit! You can build your resume on the portal and apply directly to age appropriate positions. Check back often as new positions are being added daily!

Experience Work: 14-16 years old

Want to make a difference in your community? Experience Work is great way to give back to Nashville, get to know other students, and gain real-life work experience. The program is Monday- Friday from 8am-12pm and lasts six weeks over the summer. All Experience Work participants make $8.00 an hour while working on community improvement projects.

High School Internship: 16-18 years old

Are you a rising junior or senior in high school? The Opportunity NOW High School Internship program is a great way to gain work experience and learn more about a career you might be interested in pursuing in the future. The program is Monday- Friday from 8am-2:30pm and lasts six weeks over the summer. If you are selected as a High School Intern, you will make $9.00 an hour and receive pre-program training and coaching to ensure you have the skills you need on the job.

Summer Plus: 18 years old

Are you set to graduate from high school in May 2017? Planning on going to a local college or university? Summer Plus is a great way to make some extra money during your summer break, have a job lined up for the school year, and receive mentoring and support as you transition to college life.
