Nashville Energy Works

Nashville Energy Works

Mayor Karl Dean is challenging Nashvillians to reduce their home energy usage. Everyone can do something to make a difference, and the Nashville Energy Works program will make it easier than ever.

Between now and August 30, 2013, The Mayor’s Office of Environment and Sustainability, in partnership with Hands On Nashville, Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance and U.S. Department of Energy, is creating new resources that will help Nashville homeowners reduce energy consumption, save money and increase comfort during weather extremes.

The hub of these resources will be the new Nashville Energy Works website, which will provide easy-to-understand information organized under the “Financial Incentives” and “Educational Opportunities” pillars.

  • Financial Incentives: Energy-saving programs that offer financial incentives will be suggested based on household income and number of residents. Applications and instructions will be offered, and technical assistance will be available.
  • Educational Opportunities: A diverse listing of educational resources will be presented – from do-it-yourself videos and toolkits to free workshops created for those in the residential construction field – to teach Nashvillians how to make homes more energy-efficient.

Please stay tuned to this website as the program unfolds this summer, and find the right resources to meet your home energy-saving goals.

For questions or to receive on-going information about the right resources to meet your home energy-saving goals, please contact either Laurel Creech or program partner Hands On Nashville’s Samantha Hart.
