Impact Nashville Community Initiatives
Mayor’s Workplace Challenge
The Mayor's Workplace Challenge is a three–tiered challenge to all businesses to be greener, healthier or more involved in the community. The Involved tier of the challenge encourages organizations to take an active role in promoting volunteer service inside and outside the workplace. The Involved scorecard outlines best practices for organizations looking to improve their level of community engagement and a toolkit to download: Register to participate in the challenge by signing up at Mayor's Workplace Challenge then select one or all three areas to complete a scorecard with a series of questions. As a participant, you are able to continue to make improvements on your scorecard throughout the challenge period.
Excellence in Volunteer Engagement
In partnership with Hands On Nashville, Center for Non-profit Management, and the Mayor's Office the Excellence in Volunteer Engagement is a certification program for Middle Tennessee nonprofits (the first certification effort of its kind in the nation) recognizes nonprofit organizations that employ high–quality volunteer management practices. The goal of EVE is to increase volunteerism in Davidson County by encouraging all nonprofits to work toward volunteer management programs that offer first–rate volunteer opportunities and experiences.
