Summer Food Services for Children
Summer Lunch Program
Purpose
To provide a nutritionally balanced meal for low-income children who participate in the free and reduced school lunch program during regular school.
Who We Serve
Meals are available to school age children through age 18 and disabled individuals through age 25. All children in attendance are served the same meal at no charge, regardless of race, color, age, sex, disabling conditions, or national origin.
Service Dates
The Summer Food Services Program begins the first Monday in June until the last Friday in July. Meals are served at sites throughout Davidson County. Sites such as Summer day camps, Summer School programs, enrichment programs, community centers, churches, apartment complexes and other local organizations throughout the Davidson County where children gather or reside during the summer.
