The Nashville Career Advancement Center works with individuals to explore career options, decide on a direction, target a career or industry, then strategize and market oneself for the job search.
Our Mission Statement
To drive equitable economic prosperity in Middle Tennessee by providing individuals aged 14 and older with increased access to sustainable career pathways, connecting job seekers to employers, training and counseling at any career stage, and strengthening local businesses by preparing a workforce that reflects the skill demands of area employers.
NCAC’s governing Workforce Development Board promotes workforce and economic development as well as youth education throughout our region.
The agency is a proud partner in four American Job Centers located in Davidson, Rutherford, Wilson and Trousdale Counties.
“We visualize a skilled workforce that supports business and economic growth in the Region.”
2017 Year in Review
For the Nashville Career Advancement Center, 2017 was defined by new beginnings and the end of an era. Opportunity NOW, a signature initiative of Mayor Megan Barry, saw our summer youth program jump from 150 young people entering employment in 2016 to nearly 10,000. In addition we saw the launch of another successful program, the Nashville Construction Readiness Partnership, which helped more than 100 Nashvillians begin a new career helping to build Music City.
