Pedestrian Struck on I-24 Identified

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The pedestrian who attempted suicide Tuesday morning by walking into traffic in the eastbound lanes of I-24 near the Harding Place exit is identified as Johnny Ray Potter, Jr., 39, of Nashville.
          
Potter was hit by a pickup truck and remains in critical condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
