Police Recruit Session 69 Begins Training Process

July 5, 2012

Mayor Karl Dean and Chief Steve Anderson on July 3rd welcomed the 47 men and women who have begun the 22 week training process to become Nashville police officers.

“The strong support of our elected officials and the Nashville community at large is allowing our department to keep pace with attrition and remain fully staffed,” Anderson told the recruits. “The career path each of you has chosen won’t be easy, but will be rewarding personally and professionally if you stick with it. You will be trained by the best academy instructors in the nation over the next several months.”

Graduation for this class, formally known as Recruit Session 69, is scheduled for November 29th.
