Mayor Dean Visits Madison Precinct, Tours Construction Site

Mayor Karl Dean joined Madison Precinct Commander Brian Johnson May 31st on a tour of the 84,000-square-foot building under construction that will be the permanent home of the Madison Precinct and the department’s first-ever DNA Crime Laboratory. Precinct operations will be based on the first floor. The crime lab will be on the upper level. The precinct will include about 5,000-square-feet of community space, the largest dedicated community area of all the police department’s precincts. The Madison Precinct opened in temporary quarters on January 1.
