Investigation Continuing into Murder of Joshua Antoine Henry

Madison Precinct detectives have learned that murder victim Joshua Antoine Henry was a convicted burglar and fugitive from the Montgomery County Jail at the time he was shot to death on State Route 45 near Myatt Drive early today.
Henry, 24, was furloughed from the Montgomery County Jail on January 7 to attend a treatment program in Memphis.  He left the Memphis program against staff advice on February 11.  He failed to report back to the Montgomery County Jail as required.  An escape warrant was issued in Clarksville on February 14.  A Circuit Court bench warrant was issued on February 19.
Metro detectives have been told that Henry was seen last week in the 9th Street area of Clarksville.  They are continuing in their efforts to determine why Henry was in Nashville and who was with him.  Anyone with information about Henry is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.  Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES) or online at Persons who contact Crime Stoppers by phone, text or Internet can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
