Aquiles Rojas Arrested Again Monday Night on Indecent Exposure Charge

6/18/2013

June 18, 2013

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Officers Monday night once again arrested 19-year-old Aquiles Rojas on a charge of indecent exposure after a 14-year-old victim identified him last week as the man she saw masturbating in a white four door Acura on Colice Jeanne Road near Highway 70 South on the afternoon of November 14, 2012.

The victim reported that she was walking when Rojas pulled up next to her and began talking to her.  When she looked over at the vehicle, Rojas had his pants down and was masturbating.  During an interview with Sex Crimes Detective Jason Mayo, Rojas admitted his involvement.

At the time of Monday night’s arrest, Rojas was free on $10,000 bond stemming from last Thursday’s arrest on charges of indecent exposure after a woman identified him as the man she saw openly exposing his genitals near Edwin Warner Park Nature Center on May 31st.  As the victim spotted Rojas, he ran and got into a white four door Acura.  She alertly recorded the license plate number which assisted in the development of Rojas as a suspect.  She subsequently picked him out of a photo lineup.

At the time of the May 31st incident, Rojas was free on a $15,000 bond stemming from his April 9th arrest on charges of sexual battery, indecent exposure and possession of Xanax and marijuana.  On that day, a 44-year-old woman reported that a man identified as Rojas drove up to her under the guise of asking for directions, grabbed her breast and drove away.  A 34-year-old woman also reported that he drove up to her in the nearby TJ Maxx parking lot under the guise of asking for directions.  She saw that Rojas was not wearing any pants and immediately walked away.

Rojas’ bond in regard to last night’s arrest was set at $10,000.  He posted it and is free today.  He has court dates scheduled for June 26th in regard to the April arrest, July 1st on the May 31st incident and July 3rd on his latest arrest.
