Investigation by Specialized Investigations Division detectives led to Friday’s arrest of a man in Trenton, Tennessee who is accused of contacting an escort service on and offering to pay $5,000 for a young girl.
After the escort service reported this request to authorities, an undercover SID detective responded to him.  Michael Kohlmeyer, 33, is alleged to have requested a girl “just over 8 not over 16”.  He offered to pay for two hours and would buy more time if “everything is ok”.
Kohlmeyer is being returned to Nashville where he will be charged with trafficking for a commercial sex act, soliciting sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means, and solicitation of a minor-rape of a child.
The TBI and District Attorney’s Office assisted in this investigation.  Prior to Friday’s arrest Kohlmeyer was free on bond in Humphreys County for sexual exploitation of a minor.
