Special Guests Will be Featured at 7th Annual Law Enforcement Talent Showcase on August 27th

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

In addition to the multi-talented men and women of the Metro police department, this year’s Law Enforcement Talent Showcase, for the first time in the event’s seven-year run, will feature special performances by a multi-Grammy Award winning Nashville female singer/songwriter as well as recording artist Cowboy Troy.
          
The appearances of the star female guest, whose name is being kept under wraps for now, and Cowboy Troy will be part of an outstanding variety show featuring acts by a number of Nashville police officers and support staff that will be held on Tuesday night, August 27th, at B.B. King’s Blues Club on 2nd Avenue downtown.
          
All proceeds will benefit the Nashville Children’s Alliance, a non-profit organization that provides services to children who have been victimized by sexual or severe physical abuse.
          
In addition to the stage show, a silent auction will offer a number of valuable items, including nights at Nashville’s premiere hotels, dinners at fine restaurants, Miranda Lambert concert tickets (with meet and greet privileges), autographed  guitars (one signed by Kenny Chesney, the other by Vince Gill & Grand Ole Opry stars), an autographed fiddle signed by a number of artists, an autographed cowboy hat from George Strait, memorabilia from country music stars, autographed sports memorabilia, passes to a variety of area attractions and much more.   
          
Doors to B.B. King’s will open at 5:30 p.m. on August 27th.  The show starts at 6 p.m.  The silent auction also begins at 5:30 p.m.
          
Tickets are only $15 and can be purchased at the door the night of the show and in advance from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday-Friday in the lobbies of the West, East and Central Precincts.  Nashville broadcasting veteran Harry Chapman will again serve as the master of ceremonies.
