Accused South Nashville Home Invasion Robber Tyis Crutcher Jailed

Accused home invasion robber Tyis Crutcher is now jailed in lieu of $365,000 bond on charges of especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery and use of a gun in the commission of a dangerous felony.
Crutcher, 21, was apprehended at his residence in the 2400 block of 26th Avenue North by Detective Daniel Turner from the MNPD Fugitive Unit. He is alleged to have joined co-defendant Jacquese Allen in kicking in the door of a Humphreys Street apartment late Monday night. Two women were home at the time and were held at gunpoint while the suspects searched the residence. They wound up taking a flat screen television and a laptop computer before fleeing.
Allen was taken into custody during a vehicle stop shortly after the robbery. Crutcher is alleged to have fled from the vehicle.
Crutcher is a convicted home burglar who received a three-year probated sentence in 2011.
