Officer Dale Becraft Decommissioned Following Williamson County Arrest

November 13, 2013

Canine Officer Dale Becraft is being decommissioned and placed on administrative assignment as the result of his arrest late last night in Williamson County on charges of aggravated assault, domestic assault and prevention of a 911 call.
Nolensville Police responded to Becraft’s home at 8:45 Tuesday night.  His teenage son said that Becraft choked him during an argument.  Becraft’s wife alleged that he pushed her down steps.  She further alleged that he took the family’s cell phones when she tried to call 911.  He then left the residence.  Becraft reported to the Nolensville Police Department later in the night and was subsequently booked into the Williamson County Jail.  His bond is set at $8,000.
The police department’s Office of Professional Accountability is now beginning an administrative investigation of Becraft’s alleged actions.
Becraft, 41, is a 12-year veteran of the Nashville police department.
