Jeffrey Qualls Returned to Nashville from California to Face Child Porn Charges
December 4, 2013
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jeffrey Qualls was returned to Nashville from San Francisco early today to face arrest warrants charging him with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor for dealing in child pornography downloaded from the Internet.
A joint investigation begun in August by the police department’s Sex Crimes Unit and the TBI revealed that pornographic images of children were available on a peer to peer child sharing network. The IP address of the computer involved was registered to Qualls, who lived in the 6700 block of Sonya Drive. A search warrant was executed and Qualls’ computer seized. A subsequent forensic examination revealed images of child sexual exploitation.
During the investigation, Qualls left Nashville for California. He was arrested there on the outstanding warrants and waived extradition back to Tennessee.
Qualls, 54, is being held in the Metro Jail in lieu of $67,500 bond.
