The Clements Family is the 2013 Holiday Lights Contest Winner!
Handmade Holiday Displays create a child's fantasy of what a Living Room ought to Look Like during the Holidays Wows Judges and Neighbors Alike
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Clements Family has won the top honor in the 2013 Holiday Lights Contest, the County-Wide Overall Winner Award. Their home is located at 3518 Central Ave.
According to Terry Clements, the display, 20 years in the making, is intended to create a child's fantasy of what a living room ought to look like during the holidays. Their holiday light display has been dazzling neighbors and holiday light seekers for years. The Clements use recycled wood from renovations to their home in the creating of many of the handmade displays.
Councilmember-At-Large Ronnie Steine along with District 24 Councilmember Jason Holleman presented the award and congratulated Terry Clements and his family during a live announcement this past Friday on NewsChannel 5 at 6p.m. Also present were Randy Lovett, Public Works Acting Director, Veronica Frazier, Human Resources Director, and Sharon Smith, Metro Beautification and Environment Director.

Nashvillians really showed their holiday spirit in 2013! A total of 35 entries were received this year. This is among the highest number of entries received for the contest. The Holiday Lights competition, sponsored by Mayor Dean, Metro Public Works, MBEC, Nashville Electric Service and NewsChannel 5, has been a Nashville Tradition for Celebrating the Season for 26 Years.
