Precinct-Based Undercover Detectives Charged 86 Persons This Week

Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s seven precincts charged 86 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
          
South Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Hickory Hills Drive, 2nd Avenue South, Crenshaw Street, McGavock Pike, Elm Hill Pike, Linbar Drive, and Wales Drive.  Seized were approximately 183 grams of marijuana, three grams of synthetic marijuana, 327 pills, nine guns and $443 cash.       
          
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 22 persons as the result of investigations on Maury Street, Murfreesboro Pike, Old Hickory Boulevard, Thompson Lane, Lebanon Pike, Lewis Street, and Anderson Road.  Seized were 2.6 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana, 22 grams of liquid THC, ten various pills, two guns and $591 cash.  
          
West Precinct detectives charged 9 persons as the result of investigations on Susannah Drive, Westfield Drive, Hillsboro Pike, and Charlotte Pike.  Seized were 33.33 ounces of marijuana, ten pills and 19.5 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms.
          
North Precinct detectives charged 2 persons as the result of investigations on Buena Vista Pike, Brick Church Pike, Clarksville Pike, and 28th Avenue North.  Seized were 1.4 grams of heroin, and a small amount of marijuana.   
          
Madison Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on Gallatin Pike, Rio Vista Drive, Myatt Drive, and Old Hickory Boulevard.  Seized were 75 Lortab pills, one pound of marijuana, one gram of methamphetamine, one gun and $3,000 cash.
          
East Precinct detectives charged 11 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Fern Avenue, Gallatin Pike, McFerrin Avenue, and Main Street.  Seized were 1.5 grams of heroin, .9 grams of cocaine and one quart untaxed alcohol (moonshine).
          
Central Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Lafayette Street, Monroe Street, Delta Avenue and North 1st Street.  Seized were two grams of marijuana and one gram of cocaine.
          
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
