METRO HUMAN RELATIONS LAUNCHES WEBSITE TO AID NASHVILLIANS
SEEKING ENGLISH CLASSES
Too often, when immigrants and refugees come to Nashville, locating an organization that offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classes can be a daunting task at best. While many organizations offer ESL classes, there is not a centralized system for finding them.
Problem solved. The Metropolitan Human Relations Commission has talked to many community members about this issue and has developed a solution to address it.
wESL (We ESL) is an online platform that allows users to easily find ESL classes in Nashville, TN. All organizations that offer ESL classes are listed on the map. Users simply go to www.eslmap.com and click on the map location for more information about the organizations and the classes they offer. Once on the site, users can search for classes based on schedules, start-dates, fees involved, and class level.
Nashville organizations wanting to have their ESL classes added to this site can can click on the link the in the left column titled "Submission Form," fill out the necessary information, and submit it to the MHRC.
The wESL platform is offered and maintained by the Metro Human Relations Commission. Questions about wESL can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
