Mayor, Public Works Kicked Off Construction on 46th Avenue North and Murphy Road Roundabout and Streetscape Project This Morning

Photo Credit:  Metro Photographic ServicesNASHVILLE, Tenn. – Rains held off this morning as Mayor Karl Dean and Metro Public Works kicked off construction in a ceremonial groundbreaking of the 46th Avenue North and Murphy Road roundabout and streetscape project

The project will be Mayor Dean’s fourth major Complete Street project and balances multi-modal accessibility with aesthetic and quality of life improvements for area residents, visitors and businesses. The project runs along the 46th Avenue North/Murphy Road corridor between 44th Avenue North and Colorado Avenue. It will include a single-lane roundabout, new on-street parking spots, decorative street lighting and native landscaping.
