21 New Police Officers Graduate from MNPD Training Academy


The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department’s officer ranks grew by 21 on June 10th as the trainees in Recruit Session 74 graduated from 5½ months of rigorous physical and classroom work at the MNPD Academy.  Mayor Karl Dean and  Chief Steve Anderson were on hand and personally congratulated each graduate.  This was the 20th class of police officer trainees to graduate since Mayor Dean took office in 2007.
