Thieves of High Dollar Purses from Nordstrom Sought
July 18, 2014
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
West Precinct detectives are hoping that surveillance video will help lead to the identities of five young men who, in a matter of seconds, stole an assortment of Chanel purses/handbags with a retail value in the tens of thousands of dollars from Nordstrom department store in Green Hills on the evening of July 10th.
The five black men who appear to be in their 20s calmly walked into the Chanel section of the store and immediately began grabbing purses/handbags off the shelves. They ran from the store and got into a black Buick sedan that fled the area on Hillsboro Road. The car had an out of state license plate and may have actually been rented in Kansas City. West Precinct detectives are also attempting to determine whether the Nordstrom thieves are the same ones responsible for a recent high dollar shoplifting case in Missouri involving Louis Vuitton purses.
Persons recognizing any of the five individuals in the surveillance video are urged to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME. Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES) or online at www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com. Those who contact Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
