Fred Settles III Sought in Due West Avenue Shooting

Arrest warrants charging attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault have been issued against Fred Allen Settles III, 25, who is accused of shooting into a car last night occupied by four people who arranged to meet Settles at an apartment complex at 463 Due West Avenue.
         
According to one of the victims, they were meeting Settles because he had some stolen money to return.  Instead, Settles allegedly approached the vehicle and demanded their money.  When one of the victims threw cash out the window, Settles reportedly fired one shot into the car, striking back seat passenger Crystal Reeves.  Reeves, 29, is in stable condition at Skyline Hospital.
