172,159 Voters Cast Ballots During Early Voting in Davidson County

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The last day of Early Voting was also the heaviest day of voting in Davidson County with 18,073 voters casting ballots today, bringing the Early Voting total to 172,159.

That number represents 50.74 percent of regular active voters or 42.29 percent of all registered voters in Davidson County.

The 2008 Presidential Election had the highest Early Voting turnout with 190,705 voters.

Lines formed late this afternoon at many of the 12 Early Voting locations, and just before 10 p.m. the last location finished voting voters who were in line at 7 p.m.

Hermitage Library and Edmondson Pike Library had the highest voter turnout throughout the Early Voting period which started October 19 and ended today.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8, and polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
