Today’s Incident at McFerrin Community Center

Nashville, TN --- Metro Parks is aware of the incident that took place at McFerrin Community Center at approximately 4:30 p.m. this afternoon. Our staff acted quickly to protect the children in the facility. Two teens were reported to have non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital.

Approximately 20 children were in the building at the time. However, they were all evacuated to safe places by staff who followed Emergency Action Plan training. McFerrin Community Center will be closed tomorrow for repairs.
