Metro Animal Care and Control at Capacity, Hosting an Adoption Event

April 6, 2017

Hosting a April Showers Bring Adoption Powers Adoption Event

Metro Animal Care and Control (MACC) is hosting a 'April Showers Bring Adoption Powers' Adoption Event.  The adoption event comes at a crucial time for MACC as the shelter is at capacity. Currently, there are approximately 100 pets at the shelter waiting to find their forever homes. Adoption fees for all shelter pets will be lowered to $10.00 through Saturday, April 8.

"Adoption Events are a great way to raise awareness about the many dogs and cats that are in need of permanent homes," said Rebecca Morris, spokesperson for Metro Animal Care and Control. "We need the support of the community to make events like this a success."

Potential adopters will still need to meet with an adoption counselor to find the best match for their family. Metro Animal Care and Control is located at 5125 Harding Place. Metro Animal Care and Control is open for adoption Monday-Wednesday 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Thursday 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Friday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
