Teen Charged with Vehicular Homicide for Crash that Claimed 78-Year-Old Man

Fatal crash investigators Tuesday charged Reybaz Abdullah, 19, with vehicular homicide for the September 22nd two-car fatal collision on Harding Place near Danby Drive that claimed the life of Victor Coode, 78.
Coode was driving his 2005 Buick LeSabre east on Harding Place and had begun to turn left from the center turn lane into his driveway when the Buick was struck by a speeding westbound Audi A6 being driven by Abdullah. Two passengers in the Buick, one of them a 6-year-old child, were transported to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Abdullah, of Aster Drive, and his passenger were also transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
There was no indication of alcohol or drug involvement in this fatal crash.
In addition to vehicular homicide, Abdullah is charged with one count of aggravated assault and two counts of reckless endangerment. He is being held in lieu of $62,000 bond.
