Murder Suspect Arrested by MNPD Gang Unit
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Gang Unit detectives this evening arrested accused murderer Jonathan Chatman, 20, at an apartment complex on Buena Vista Pike.
Chatman is charged in the February 24th shooting death of Charlie Brown Jr. near the intersection of 26th Avenue North and Alameda Street. His co-defendant, Tamarrius Portis, 20, was arrested Friday night after leading officers on a foot chase downtown.
Investigation by North Precinct Detective Jason Frank led to the identification of Portis and Chatman as the men alleged to be responsible for killing Brown while robbing him.
