Metro Plans McCrory Lane Bridge Repairs
August 22, 2012
Project to replace approaches will restrict traffic to one lane for 2-3 months
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Repairs to the McCrory Lane Bridge over the Harpeth River near the
Davidson/Cheatham County line are expected to begin next week.
The project will replace concrete approaches at both ends of the bridge. To avoid closing the
bridge, the approaches will be constructed one at a time. Temporary traffic signals installed at
each end of the bridge will allow one lane of traffic to cross at a time.
Phase 1, scheduled to begin on Monday, August 27, will close the east side of the bridge,
followed by Phase 2 which will close the west side. The expected duration of the work is
approximately 12 weeks – 6 weeks for each phase – weather permitting.
