Skating Class Schedule and Fees

Skating Classes (for Beginning through Freestyle 4 Level Skaters and Hockey Skating Skills)

Choose Your Class Day and Time

TUESDAYS

5:45-6:15 p.m. [Beginning (first-time) skaters and all skaters ages 5 and under]

  • Snowplow Sam (ages 3 to 5)
  • Beginning Basic and Adult (ages 6 and over)
  • Practice for all other ages and levels

6:15-6:45 p.m. [More advanced skaters ages 6+]

  • Non-Beginning Basic and Adult (ages 6 and over)
  • Practice for all other ages and levels

THURSDAYS

SATURDAYS

9:45-10:15 a.m. [Beginning (first-time) skaters and all skaters ages 5 and under]

  • Snowplow Sam (ages 3 to 5)
  • Beginning Basic and Adult (ages 6 and over)
  • Practice for all other ages and levels

10:15-10:45 a.m. [More advanced skaters ages 6+]

  • Non-Beginning Basic and Adult (ages 6 and over)
  • Hockey Skating Skills
  • Practice for all other ages and levels

Note: a) You may not want to practice until you have had your first lesson. b) Some children ages 3–5 may not be able to skate by themselves during practices. c) All classes are group classes with up to approximately 12 skaters/class. Groups typically include skaters of differing abilities. Also, groups may be different sizes. We try hard to group appropriately and to keep group size manageable.

Seven-Week Series Classes

This schedule reflects cancellations for: USFS Basic Skills Competition, Metro Schools Spring Break, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Thanksgiving holidays. To help remind you, we post signs, hand out notice slips in class, and email. We try!

Fees For 7-Week Series

Fees are for one skater taking one class each week for 7 Weeks:

  • Resident by Penguin Rate Deadline - $102.00
  • Resident by Regular Rate Deadline - $122.00
  • Resident after Registration Deadline - $157.00
  • Non-Resident by Penguin Rate Deadline - $112.00
  • Non-Resident by Regular Rate Deadline - $135.00
  • Non-Resident after Registration Deadline - $173.00

Discounts

  • 15% discount for taking two or more classes each week
  • 15% family discount if you have immediate family members (same household) taking classes
  • 50% discount for Centennial Sportsplex Members with a One-Year Membership
  • Cannot be combined.

What Is Included

  • One 30-minute class each week (or register for more)
  • One 30-minute practice each week adjacent to your class times.
  • Two Public Skating sessions each week. See the Public Skating schedule.
  • Skate Rental for your Public Skating sessions, practices, and classes

*To be eligible for resident rates, the user must reside in Davidson County. If you provide false residency information, you will not be able to purchase classes, practices, or memberships in the future. Refunds are not available to you if you give false residential information.
