Free Summer Concerts

Nashville is a city known for music. Metro Parks is happy to reflect and encourage this prominent attribute by offering free summertime concerts. There are performances on Friday and Saturday nights in June and July with the Saturday performances continuing through August.

There is something for all ages at these events including bubble machines, dancing, side walk chalk, snow cones, and great live music of course.

Because the safety of our patrons and staff is of of the highest priority, Metro Parks reserves the right to cancel any performance due to weather conditions.

Big Band Dances

2014 will be the 31st anniversary of Big Band Dances in Metro Parks! Spend your Saturday nights this summer dancing and listening to live big band music played by some of Nashville's finest musicians. For the ultimate experience bring your own lawn chair and picnic basket.

Don't know how to dance? No problem. There are two free group dance lessons sponsored by Dance World held from 7:00 to 7:30 PM and again from 8:30 to 8:50 PM. The dances taught are listed in parenthesis on the schedule below.

Red Caboose Concert Series

The Red Caboose Concert Series is held on Friday nights in June at Red Caboose Park in Bellevue.  The live music begins at 7:00 PM and ends at 9:00 PM. This is a fun event the whole family will enjoy. Bring your lawn chair, blanket, and picnic basket of course!

Tales At Twilight

Tales At Twilight is a performance series for children and will be held at Cumberland Park.  The kids will be thoroughly entertained while the parents can relax and enjoy one of the best views of downtown Nashville.
