Ways to Get Involved

Group Exercise

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Parthenon.

There are several ways you can support the Parthenon's mission. The first is by joining the Friend's group The Conservancy for the Parthenon and Centennial Park. It is due to the generous financial support of members that the Parthenon is able to present a wide array of exhibitions and related educational programs. Please visit the Conservancy's website and get involved, they are at www.conservancyonline.com. And we hope you'll plan to attend the Conservancy Gala 2014, scheduled for Saturday, November 1!

Becoming a Parthenon docent is another way to support the Parthenon's mission to educate its visitors. Now in its third decade, the Parthenon docent program trains individuals to serve as ambassadors promoting awareness and providing education about the Parthenon.

Docents & Internships

Press Release - Docent Training class fall 2014.docx

Parthenon Docent Program

The mission of the Parthenon Docents is to serve as ambassadors promoting awareness of and providing education about the Parthenon.

Docents play a vital role in our ability to offer quality programming to our visitors. They are teachers, guides, givers of directions, and public relations experts. The program, which started in September 1998, is now in its third decade. Docents are asked to work at 4-8 hours a month at the Parthenon and commit to one year in various volunteer duties.

A new docent class will be starting in September 2014

To obtain further information and participate in this fascinating program contact the Parthenon at info@parthenon.org or call 615-862-8431.
