Southeast Community Center and Park

The Southeast Community Center and park is part of a larger complex on the former Hickory Hollow Mall site that will also include a regional library and a two-rink ice skating facility and will serve as a new civic square for the Antioch region of Davidson County.   At 46,000 square feet, this will be the largest community center in the Metro Parks system.  Amenities will include a gymnasium, indoor walking track, fitness center, movement studio, boot camp deck, locker rooms, teaching kitchen, community meeting rooms, arts and crafts room, lounge areas and a 5,000 square foot rooftop deck with a garden and catering kitchen for special events.

The community center/library and ice rink buildings will border two sides of the new 4.5-acre park.  A former parking lot, the park will feature a multi-age playground, picnic pavilion, fitness trail with workout stations, open lawn and over 250 trees.

The community center and park will open in fall 2014.
