Una Recreation

The current general improvement project consists of a new restroom/concessions building, new grandstand bleachers, new utility connections, new irrigation, and new ballfield fencing; all with some degree of demolition, repair, and retrofit of existing facilities.

Una Recreation Park is located at 134 Una Recreation Road, Nashville, TN 37217. The park was established in the 1960’s and had some improvements done in 2008. However, many of the original facilities are still in place and are in need of repair or replacement. The park is leased by the Una Bears Youth Football Organization and sees a very high level of use during summer and fall. The project will cover a wide variety of elements listed in detail below.

The project scope consists of demolition and disposal, excavation, utility work, asphalt and concrete paving, fencing, small buildings, irrigation and athletic field wok and equipment. Work shall include:

  • Demolition and removal of three concrete, CMU and steel bleachers and two below grade dugouts
  • Demolition and removal of one CMU two story building
  • Demolition and removal of one wood and vinyl sided garage
  • Demolition and removal of chain link fence in various heights
  • Milling, cutting and removal of asphalt and concrete paving and curbs
  • Excavation for retaining walls, footers and paved trails
  • Storm drainage
  • Utility work to include water service, sanitary sewer and electrical
  • Supply and construction of a building to house the combination of restrooms and concessions
  • Retaining walls
  • Concrete footers to support aluminum grandstands (grandstands supplied by owner)
  • Supply and installation of aluminum bleachers
  • Supply and installation of vinyl coated chain link fence in various heights
  • Asphalt and concrete paving and curbs
  • Athletic field improvements (earth work, turf, dugouts, scoreboards, etc)
  • Irrigation
  • Signage
