River-Trace Urban Design Overlay

map of UDO area

Urban Design Overlays, or UDOs, are zoning tools which set specific design standards for development in a designated area. UDOs overlay the area's base zoning and allow for development standards above and beyond those in the base zoning.

The Metropolitan Council approved the River-Trace Overlay in April 2018. It sets building and development standards along Highway 100 from the Harpeth River to the Natchez Trace.
