Planner II, Urban Designer with Architectural Background

The Metropolitan Planning Department of Nashville/Davidson County seeks an Urban Designer to join its Design Studio – an in-house studio of planners with expertise in architecture, landscape architecture and urban design. This staff member will provide analysis and recommendations to Metro Nashville on community planning and urban design issues in a wide variety of rural, suburban and urban settings, with an emphasis on sustainable planning.

Planner I, Active Mobility Planner

This planner's responsibilities will include, among others, applying active mobility principles in the creation of sustainable neighborhoods; reviewing development applications to ensure active mobility is appropriately addressed; and providing an active mobility perspective to the creation of NashvilleNext, a new, countywide General Plan currently under development.
