Directions to the Planning Department and Planning Commission meetings

The Metropolitan Planning Department is located on the second floor of the Metro Office Building at 800 Second Avenue South, one block off the 2nd/4th Avenue exit of I-40.

The Planning Commission meets next door, in the auditorium of the Howard Office Building at 700 Second Avenue South.  Meetings are held at 4 pm on the second and fourth Thursday of every month excepting July, November and December; only one meeting is held during those months.

Please note that the main entrances to the Metro Office Building and the Howard Office Building are now on the south side, accessible from the parking lot off Lindsley Avenue.

• From I-40 on the south side of downtown, take the 2nd Avenue/4th Avenue exit (#210C)
• Turn north, toward downtown, onto 2nd Avenue South
• Turn right onto the next street, Lindsley Ave.
• Turn left into the parking lot
