Upcoming meetings which require public notification are listed here. The Planning Commission meets at 4 pm on the second and fourth Thursday of each month in the Sonny West Conference Center at the Howard Office Building, 700 Second Avenue South. Only one meeting is held in July, November, and December; the October 23 meeting will be held at the Board of Education meeting room, 2601 Bransford Avenue.

October 2: Planning staff will meet with Council members

Planning staff will discuss parking and zoning issues with Councilmembers Burkley Allen and Sandra Moore at 9 am Thursday, October 2, in the Nolen Room at the Planning Department office, 800 Second Avenue South.

October 2: Public meeting on proposed change to East Nashville Community Plan

Planners will hold a community meeting from 5-6 pm Thursday, October 2 at the East Police Precinct, 936 East Trinity Lane, to discuss a Community Plan amendment related to a proposed zone change at 10334 West Eastland Avenue.

These hearings will be held as part of the scheduled Planning Commission meeting at 4 pm on Thursday, October 9, in the Sonny West Conference Center at the Howard Office Building, 700 Second Avenue South.

Donelson-Hermitage-Old Hickory Community Plan

This proposed policy change is related to a zoning request which would allow up to 16 residential villas for overnight stays by golfers playing at the nearby Hermitage Golf Course.

This proposed policy change is related to a zoning request which would rezone an area near 19th and Chet Atkins from ORI-A (Office/Residential) to SP-MU (Specific Plan/Mixed Use).
