Meet the Unit
Officer Theresa Gross and Scout
Officer Theresa Gross joined the Nashville Police Department in 1986. Officer Gross is the one of the founding members of the Horse Mounted Patrol and has been a member since 1998. Armed Son of a Gun’s Boy Scout “Scout” is a10 year old sorrel Tennessee Walking Horse and has been partnered with Officer Gross since 2009.

Officer Mark Stockdale and Storm
Officer Mark Stockdale joined the Nashville Police Department in 1987 and has been partnered with Storm since 2005. Storm, a sorrel Tennessee Walking Horse, likes apples and meeting kids.
Officer Greg Jones and Autobahn
Officer Greg Jones has been with the Nashville Police Department since 1985 and in 2011,partnered with Autobahn, a 17-hand sorrel Tennessee Walking Horse. Together, they enjoy meeting people and putting on demonstrations.

Officer Tim Edwards and Chisum
Officer Tim Edwards has been with the Metro Nashville Police Department since 2007. In 2011, Officer Edwards completed his training for the Mounted Patrol and was transferred to the Unit full time in2012. Also in 2012, his partner Chisum came to the Mounted Patrol Unit. Chisum is a 4 year old chestnut colored Tennessee Walking Horse donated from Sweetwater, TN.

Officer Brent Hoadley and Bear
Officer Brent Hoadley joined the MNPD in January of 2005. In July of 2012 Officer Hoadley was transferred to the Mounted unit. When Officer Hoadley joined the unit he partnered up with Bear a 12 year old Tennessee Walking Horse. Bear joined the unit in 2006. He was donated to the police department from a farm in Columbia,Tennessee. Bear and Officer Hoadley look forward to seeing y’all around town.

Officer Travis Martin and Skipper
Officer Travis Martin joined the Metro Nashville Police Department in December of 2007. He transferred to the Mounted Patrol Unit in June of 2012. His partner, Skipper, is a 13 year old Tennessee Walking Horse. Skipper has been a part of the Mounted Patrol since 2000. Officer Martin and Skipper enjoy working together to serve the citizens of Nashville.
