The Davidson County Region Solid Waste Plan. The Davidson County Solid Waste Board welcomes public input and comment on the Solid Waste Plan.
New Recycling Drop-offs Opened at Tennessee State University, Northwest Family YMCA and McGavock High School. Public Works opens two new recycling drop-off sites.
Myatt Drive Recycling Drop-off Site Relocated. Metro’s community recycle drop-off site on Myatt Drive in the Rivergate area has been relocated behind the fence of the nearby Rivergate Recycling property at 630 Myatt Drive, and is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. To access the drop-off bins, residents should enter the main Rivergate Recycling gate; the recycling containers are along the fence on the right side of the property behind the scale house.
Electronics Recycling. Residents of Nashville & Davidson County can take computers and monitors (limit one computer system per household/month) as well as paint, compact fluorescent light bulbs, used motor oil and more to Metro's household hazardous waste facility.
Holiday Trash and Recycling Pickup. Metro trash and recycling customers whose collection day falls on a holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day or July 4th) will have trash and recycling pickup on the Saturday of that week. You can put the following kinds of PLASTIC into your curbside recycling cart and in the PLASTIC bins at drop off centers: YES: All plastic bottles, and all dairy containers (margarine, butter, yogurt, cottage cheese, sour cream, etc.) labeled 1 – 7. NO: No black plastic, baskets, clamshells (fast food take out), or Styrofoam.
