Why can I only have one beneficiary for my service pension?
Your monthly pension payments are calculated based on the birthday of the survivor you have designated as your beneficiary. Multiple pension beneficiaries would result in multiple, differing amounts for your pension every time you changed your survivor; this, in turn, would make it impossible for Metro to determine the health of our pension fund for your future payments and our future retirees.
