Why can't I hear the tornado sirens from my house?

The Outdoor Early Warning Sirens in Davidson County are strategically placed throughout the county. These sirens are "Outdoor" sirens, and meant to warn those that are outside playing, working etc.

In order to be warned of severe weather while indoors, please make sure to have an Emergency Alert Weather Radio with battery back up.
