12th Avenue South Water Main Replacement & Stormwater Improvements-Phase 1

Council District: 17 and 18

Contractor: JSJ Construction, LLC

Project Timeline: Spring 2017 - Winter 2018

Work Hours: Daytime hours as permitted by Public Works

Road Closure/Detour: Portion of the roadway may be closed, however, access to residents will be maintained.

The project consists of the installation of approximately 18,195 linear feet of 6-inch through 12-inch and 24-inch water main within the roadway. Stormwater improvements consist of the installation of approximately 2,238 linear feet of storm pipe, 416 linear feet of combined curb and gutter, 191 linear feet of post curb and 34 inlets within the roadway and alleys.

Belmont Park Terrace

Project Timeline: December 2017 to Summer 2017

Work Hours: During the day Monday through Friday.

Road Closure/Detour: Portion of the roadway may be closed, however, access to residents will be maintained.

Installation of approximately 3,500 linear feet of 8-inch water main in Belmont Park Terrace from Harding Place to Tyne Blvd, replacing existing 4- and 6- inch mains. Replacement of approximately 850 linear feet of 2-1/4 inch with new 6-inch and 4-inch main in Belmont Park Ct. Tying all services currently on existing 4-and 6-inch water mains to the existing 12-inch in Belmont Park Terrace from Lone Oak Road to Harding Place and then abandoning the 4-and 6-inch mains.

Brandau Hoggett Ford Water Main – Phases 1 and 2

Project Timeline Phase 1: November 2016 to Early 2017

Project Timeline Phase 2: Mid-February to April 2017

*Final street paving for both project phases is dependent on weather and time of year.

Road Closure/Detour: Portion of the roadway may be closed, however, access to businesses and residents will be maintained.

The Brandau Hoggett Ford Water Main Project – Phase 1 involves the installation of approximately 5,000 linear feet of 10-inch ductile iron water main within Brandau Road from near Central Pike to Hoggett Ford Road along with appurtenances. Phase 2 involves the installation of approximately 1,800 linear feet of 10-inch ductile iron water main with appurtenances within Hoggett Ford Road (private drive) from Brandau Road to cemeteries.

Cumberland City Low Transmission Water Main Project

Project Timeline: December 2016 to end of 2017 (13 months +/-)

Work Hours: 24 hours / day – 7 days / week

Road Closure/Detour: In general, lanes of the roadway may be closed for short distances around the work zones, however, at least one lane in each direction and access to businesses and residents will be maintained. Disruptions in the flow of traffic are expected.

The project involves the construction of approximately 11,850 linear feet of 60-inch ductile iron water main along Elm Hill Pike from McGavock Pike to Old Elm Hill Pike, from Old Elm Hill Pike to Old Donelson Pike, from Old Donelson Pike to Nodyne Drive, from Nodyne Drive to Donelson Pike, and from Donelson Pike to near Lebanon Road. The project continues with approximately 13,400 linear feet of 36-inch ductile iron water main along Lebanon Road from Donelson Pike to Central Pike. The 36-inch main will cross under the Stones River and connect to the existing 24-inch main at the intersection of Lebanon Road and Central Pike.

East Ashland Water Main Replacements

Road Closure/Detour: Portion of the roadway may be closed, however, access to residents will be maintained.

Description: The East Ashland Water Main project involves the replacement of approximately 7,040 linear feet of 6-inch and 8-inch water mains, with appurtenances, along East Ashland Drive, Maplemere Drive, Priest Road, and Otter Valley Lane.

The Clean Water Nashville Overflow Abatement Program is an initiative led by Metro Water Services (MWS) in coordination with partner agencies including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) for the purpose of meeting the Clean Water Act requirements and, in the process, ensuring the environmental health of the Cumberland River and its tributaries for future generations.
