Praise from staff and faculty: Mr. Hamer has an outstanding personality and is a "people person"... He can be found in the lobby at times interacting and saying good-bye to the children at the close of the school day. ..The children enjoy seeing him and being recognizes...He has become a big hit with teachers for cleaning our white boards and emptying our electric pencil sharpeners every day...Mr. Hamer has assisted and participated in our school's recycling program. He makes sure that the recycling bins in the classrooms are emptied out regulary...He is more than willing to do anything he can to help.

Praise from students: He's kind, helpful, reliable, responsible, and has a can do attitude...Mr. Hamer is a positive, helpful, and thoughtful person...You will never hear a negative word from him only positive words...He has a hard job, but he does it...If it wasn't for him our school would be dirty...He goes the extra mile.

Michael Thomas , Dodson Elementary School

Praise from staff and faculty: Throughout the years of working with Mr. Michael, as we respectfully call him, I've always seen him act and work in a professional manner... With his smiling face and warm heart you can tell that he truly cares about Dodson and its faculty and students...The students see him as a positive role model and even a father figure...Mr. Michael helped me organize the collection of recyclables and getting them into a big container for pick up. He still continues to oversee this awesome project.

Praise from students: I believe Mr. Michael should be custodian of the year because he takes out trash, plus fixes stuff, plus tells jokes...Everybody knows that he cares for us and we care for him...He shows respect to kids and teachers...He keeps the peace...When I spill my milk he cleans it up...Thank you for cleaning our messes.
