HOME SCHOOL FIELD TRIP: Visit the Recycling Education Station

Visit the Recycling Education Station to learn about litter prevention and whatNashville does with our trash and recycling! See a MRF (Materials Recovery Facility) in action and learn first hand how materials are separated, how they are recycled, and see the consumer products that are made from our recycled materials Learn how to take personal responsibility to StopLitter and start recycling!

  • Programs last1 hour
  • Programsare appropriate for all ages (toddlers and babies in strollers are always welcome!)
  • Programs include closed-circuit television viewing of the recycling sorting systems and hands on activities with consumer products made from recycled materials.
  • Students will receive recycled mementoesand an activities booklet.

  • Note: maximum number for a program is 25, which includes children and adults; please request2 programs if you have a larger group)
