- Description:
- The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (Metro) is seeking qualifications from consulting engineering firms and/or project teams for the purpose of updating and refining traffic signal timing plans in a number of congested corridors within Davidson County. The intent of this project is to supplement and extend the staff efforts to implement timing plans and monitor their effectiveness, in order to reduce the unnecessary vehicle stops and delays that result from dated signal system timings. This project will include explicit evaluation of the improved systems in order to document project benefits. The project will be managed by the Department of Public Works and may include input from other stakeholders, such as the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT). The Consultant will be responsible for following all State and Federal guidelines. In addition, all work is to meet the requirements of the TDOT Local Government Guidelines for the Management of Federal and State Funded Transportation Projects and any other requirements incorporated by reference in that document.
